1. In a web browser navigate to the ITSolutionsNow database access page:  http://sqladmin.myhostedsolution.net/

2. Login to the database using the process described in the Connect To A SQL Database support article.

3. Click the Tools menu.

4. Click Backup Wizard (Web Hosting).

5. Specify the following information:

• Database: The database to be backed up
• Set Name: Name for the backup set.
• Set Description: Details of the backup setup.

Once entered click the Backup button.

6. After the backup completes, a link will be displayed to allow local download of the backup.

4. Picking up from Step 3 above, click on Restore Wizard (Web Hosting).

5. Specify which database will be restored, and then select the file to be uploaded for the restore. Once entered click Restore Database.

6. The upload will take a few moments, displaying a load window, and then the database will be restored.

Direct access to the SQL server from the SQL Management Studio is not allowed to protect client servers from DDOS, script kiddies, and viruses. Instead a web-based alternative is used to access the database.

1. In a web browser navigate to the ITSolutionsNow database access page:  http://sqladmin.myhostedsolution.net/

2. Enter the following information at the login prompt:

• Database: The database number obtained by creating a New SQL 2008 Database.
• Authentication: SQL Server Authentication
• Login: the user name information obtained by Creating A New SQL Database User.
• Password: The password associated with the user account.

After the information is entered click Connect to access the database.

3. The aforementioned server address can be used in application strings, to view the server IP associated with an account follow the next few steps. First, in a web browser navigate to the ITSolutionsNow services control panel:  https://cp.myhostedsolution.com/

4. From the center of the screen above the series of icons, click on Cloud Hosted Services..

5. On the far right below the blue circle, click on View Space Summary.

6. The hosting summary information will be displayed in a list with links to their location within the page. Click the link that says SQL Server 2008, to view the SQL specific information

2. From the center of the screen hover over the Databases icon, and then select SQL Server 2008.

3. Click the Create User button.

4. Specify a name for the new user, and then select and confirm a password that is at least five characters and contains one number. Next select the default database, which databases they will have access to, and then click Save.

5. The new user will now have access to the specified databases. Please refer all new users to the article, Connect To A SQL Database for instructions on how to access it.

2. From the center of the screen hover over the Databases icon, and then select SQL Server 2008.

3. Click the Create Database button.

4. Specify a name for the database, and select any users that should have access to it. Click Save when finished delegating access.

5. The SQL 2008 database has now been created and is ready be accessed. Please review to the article, Connect To A SQL Database for instructions on how to access it.

Management of a Microsoft SQL 2008 databases is preformed by a software package myLittleAdmin. It allows for web access to a database, and offers plenty of functionality when manipulating and editing an SQL 2008 database.
