Applicable To

The article applies to all customers with active Exchange or SharePoint services.

Prerequisites

Active Exchange or SharePoint services, see Add Hosted Services.

Summary

This article will demonstrate how to create a new SharePoint user.

Configuration Steps

1. Create a new user in the ITSolutionsNow services control panel by following the support article; Create A New User

2. Navigate and login to the organization's SharePoint website.

3. From the site home, click on Site Actions, and then click Site Permissions.

4. Click on the Grant Permissions button.

5. In the very first field, the Select Users field, type the first part or all of the username, and then click the Check User button (icon with a picture of an user and check mark). If the user exists in the services control panel, and the name is type correctly it should resolve.

6. Fill out, or selection an option in the three indicated fields. The add user wizard provides a sufficient description of each item, so no additional explanation will be provided. If there are additional questions email support@itsolutionsnow.com. Once all fields are entered click OK.

7. The user creation is now finished, and the new user will be displayed under the list. Further editing or refining of the user permissions may optionally be done by clicking the name of the user and clicking the Edit User Permissions button.
